Meet Gail Rock, APRN, CNM, IBCLC
Hi there! I’m Gail Rock, and I am a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM)/Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in the greater Morgantown area. I’m so excited to be getting back to my home birth roots after working full-time as a hospital based midwife for the past MANY years. My training began at Shenandoah University where I graduated with a masters degree in nursing with a specialty in midwifery in the year 2000. Since that time, I have served the low to high risk women of Charlottesville, VA, Kingwood, WV, Altoona, PA, Morgantown, WV, and most recently Fairmont, WV. I am blessed to have had 20 years of experience with patients from all walks of life, and I have attended 2,486 vaginal delivers to date.
I look forward to caring for the low-risk women in the greater Morgantown area in a home birth capacity as well as GYN care and lactation.
It’s only natural that I partner with Wise Women Health Care and Heather ONeal. Together we will bring back the personal touch needed for the patients in the most vulnerable moments of their lives… birth.
Oh! For those of you that haven’t heard- I finally had my grand baby, and she is perfect of course.
Wise Women Health Care’s Mission, Vision & Core Values
Wise Women Health Care (WWHC) provides healthcare for women within their own comfortable space, be it their home or office. WWHC seeks to fill the gap in healthcare for busy women by providing increased access, convenience, and personalization to their care. It can be very challenging for the modern woman to schedule and follow-through with appointments for check-ups or screenings when they have demanding jobs or children to care for…or both! WWHC makes caring for women a priority so women can continue caring for everyone else. We welcome women from all walks of life, respect privacy, empower women and stand by our motto, “Your Body, Your Home, Your Midwife”.
WWHC will change the way women view their healthcare and allow women to play an integral role in how their care is managed. WWHC will make women feel empowered and supported by promoting comfort, accessibility and convenience. Women will begin to see their healthcare in a more positive light instead of a burden and inconvenience. Additionally, WWHC will help women through our interactive website via blog/vlog to educate them about their health, their bodies, and their choices. WWHC will challenge the status quo and drive this new model of care forward for the betterment of the lives of women and their families.
